The Real Househelps of Kawangware is a Kenyan comedy-drama television series produced by Protel Studios.

The idea of the show was to follow the lives of several househelps and their employers living in Kawangware, Nairobi.

Unknown to many, a majority of the cast studied different courses from what they are practicing thanks to the highly competitive job market.

Winnie Rubi, better known as Awiti has been part of the Real Househelps of Kawangware cast since it’s initial episodes.

Awiti studied Degree in Community Development and Social Work in university.

This program seeks to equip students with knowledge and skills to enable them to actively participate in development activities.

Christantus Nyachio, alias Nyambegea is popularly known for his roles on the show which includes working as a houseboy.

In a video, the actor disclosed that he pursued Bachelor of Education English Literature in university.

The program is designed to prepare students to become competent and effective teachers of English language and literature at the secondary school level.

It takes four years and combines coursework in education theory and practice with in-depth study of English literature.


Wambui Wa Wanjiku plays Shiphira on Real Househelps of Kawangware, and she always quarrels with her househelp, Awiti.

Shiphira studied Theatre and Film in college. The program focuses on the study of theater and film as artistic and cultural practices.

This course equips students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and techniques needed to create, produce, and perform in theater and film productions.


Leah Nkatha Mati is better known as Nkirote on the show where she plays the role of a househelp moving from house to house.

She studied Public Relations.

This programs cover topics such as media relations, crisis communication, strategic communication, digital marketing and advertising.


Bernice Njeri, better known by her role name, Njambi, is among the pioneer actors of Real Househelps of Kawangware Show.

She studied Law in university but she is currently taking a course in Psychology.

A psychology course in Kenya typically covers a range of topics related to human behavior and mental processes.
