Creativity comes in many forms and can take one to places they couldn’t have ever imagined. Those who have dared to explore their unique talents have ended up changing their livelihoods and those who depend on them. The talented Ikorodu Bois from Nigeria have wowed film lovers across the globe with their rendition of popular Hollywood blockbusters. Their talent has gained them recognition from big stars. So, who are they?
Ikorodu Bois Names
The Ikorodu Bois consists of three young boys, two brothers Muiz Sunny (15), Malik Sunny (10) and their cousin Fawas Aina (13). Muliz and Malik’s 23-year-old brother manages them and edits their videos. They got their names from Ikorodu city in Nigeria where they live.
Videos
The three became internet sensations because of how they creatively recreated multimillion-dollar music, movie and Hollywood trailers shot by shot.
They do this with the simplest of household items. Some of their props include: pots and the local wheelbarrow to replace luxury cars.
They decided to start with the little they had and their older brother told CNN:
“The fact that you don’t have a car…you can use something that looks like a car. Just for you to move you from one place to another, so that’s why we are using a wheelbarrow.”
History
In 2017, the 23-year-old brother decided their work was too good to be kept within themselves. He decided to share it with the world,
“our house is like a comedy house….we play too much. I felt like ‘these things we’re doing in our house…Why don’t we start putting them online?,” Babatunde Sanni told CNN.
Three years later,
This decision is what gave birth to their Instagram page.
Three years later, they have become a hot sensation with over 500k Instagram followers.
Recognition
The boys have also gained international recognition and their works have been praised by some of the big names in the film industry
The professor from “Money Heist” tweeted, “What an amazing job!!! Congrats!! Thanks a lot for this. You are all the very best.”
After the remake of The Extraction trailer, The Russo brothers, Chris Hemsworth have invited them to the world premiere of Netflix action thriller, The Extraction 2.
They created and shared the trailer on their twitter page
“We so much love this movie and we hope @chrishemsworth and @netflix see this remake, pls retweet, ”read their caption.
Their wish came true when the producers of The Extraction, Anthony Russo and Joseph Russo, praised their work and invited them for the world premier of the sequel film.
“ This is awesome! We would love to have you guys at the #Extraction 2 premiere….DM us and we’ll get you there!”
They have also gained recognition from other big Hollywood names, like, Will Smith and The Rock – Dwayne Johnson.
