Vihiga Man Dismissed By CS Kipchumba Murkomen Lands Job

The Vihiga man who went viral after being dismissed by Transport Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kipchumba Murkomen can now afford a smile.

Ephas Musisa had encountered the CS at the NTSA office and wasted no chance in asking him for a job.

Murkoken instead told him they had no job for him.

“Hapa hatupeani kazi,” The CS is heard in the viral video.

According to Citizen TV, Musisa has secured a permanent job as a driver at the Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) Project office in Nakuru.

Musisa said he has struggled to get a job since 2020. The unemployment situation had badly strained his family and that was the reason he pleaded for a job in public.

“Hii wiki ikianza ndio nilikutana na Mheshimiwa Murkomen, mimi hanijui, lakini mimi nilikuwa namjua kwa mambo ya siasa,” he said.

Musisa admitted that the CS had followed up on his situation after their viral meeting.

“Ya kustaajabisha, kumbe Mheshimiwa ameenda lakini ameenda kuniongelea vile nitapata kazi. Alituma watu wake wakaniita,” he added.

The video of Musisa being dismissed by the CS generated heated debate on social media with many condemning Murkomen for what they termed as the humiliation of a hustler.

The CS did not respond to the backlash but instead sent one of his officers to trace Musisa and hand him the driver’s job in Nakuru.
