Age and Background

Career

In 2009, she made her debut in the industry as a cast member in Changing Times. Hundreds showed up to audition for the TV series. When she saw Size 8 appear in one of the episodes, she felt she could not measure up. However, she got to play Shariffa, a girl from a poor background trying to fit in with the rest of her rich friends. While she was happy about getting this role, the critical comments she received were many. Some thought she was not audible enough and she mumbled a lot and others said she got the role owing to her looks. However, she pressed on and her character developed. This development prompted a call from the producer of Mali. Changing Times also got her nominated for the Kalasha awards as Best Supporting Actress in Drama.

She auditioned for her Lulu role in Mali and aced it. This program is what brought her a lot of notoriety. Mali blew up and became one of the most watched Kenyan soap operas at the time. The story of how greed and secrets can ruin family relations kept many glued to the screens. Brenda played the role of a rich spoilt girl who abused drugs.

She also got the chance to be casted in Kona.
