The 2022 Kenya Certificate for Secondary Education (KCSE) exam results are set to be released today, Friday, January 20.
The results will be released by Education CS Ezekiel Machogu from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) offices.
Some 884,263 learners wrote the national exams between December 2 and December 23, 2022.
After the official release, candidates and parents can access the results through the KNEC website or SMS platforms.

How to check KCSE results via SMS
Using Safaricom, Telkom or Airtel, send an SMS with your Index Number to 20076, you will receive a text message from KNEC with your results after a short while.
The cost of sending an SMS to check KCPE results is Ksh 25 per SMS on all networks.
How to check KCSE results online
At the same time, you can view your KCPE results online by visiting the KNEC website and entering your Index Number.
Here is how to check the results online.
- Visit the Official KNEC website (knec.ac.ke)
- Check for the KCSE Results tab, click on it.
- Select the year you sat for the Exams.
- Enter your Index number.
- Finally click the Submit button.
- Your KCSE results should show on the screen after a while.
