Austin Muigai: Kenyan Comedian Acquires Volvo V40 Worth Millions

He plays multiple roles effortlessly and that’s how the funnyman has endeared himself to millions of Kenyans.

Austin Muigai sheer hardwork has seen him become the newest celebrity car owner in Kenya.

The news of his acquisition was shared by an elated Crazy Kennar, real name  Kennedy Odhiambo, on his social media account. 

The post read, 

“Big man in a big whip, watajua aje? Umeamua utakuwa unajikuna na key, Congratulations Austin,” Kennar posted.

A 2017 variant of the same car goes for over Ksh2.2 million. Volvo came into production in 2012 and has been one of the best-selling models ever since.

According to media.volvocars.com, the powertrain offer is based on Drive-E 2.0 litre turbo- and super-charged engines designed and built at Volvo’s engine factory in Skövde.

The V40 offers a full range of connectivity options in its Sensus user interface, including Volvo On Call, a phone-based app that allows you to control certain features in your car, (such as pre-heating, locking and unlocking, navigation, vehicle location services and other features).

Rise to stardom

He became a household name when he played the character who is always picked by others. 

The Theatre Arts & Film Technology graduate has gone on to take the character of a rich uncle who is always chastising his less fortunate relatives.

His Instagram accounts command 81.2K followers and YouTube 117K subscribers. He has over 204 videos with 13,108,882 views. The content creator has over 266.5K followers on Tik Tok.

In a past interview he shared how women did not find him attractive in the past but are now camping his DM.

“Ile kukataliwa nilikataliwa, weeh! I even asked myself if I was the problem. I was wondering why they were not accepting me yet I thought I was a very good man,” he said. 

Austin also added that he was discouraged from pursuing the course of his choice. 

“Everyone at home discouraged me from pursuing Theatre Arts & Film Technology. They told me to change the course, but I didn’t.

When I finished school, I had to start my own life because I could not depend on my parents again.

I got a job, I was selling tires for someone. It was a good experience, but I never enjoyed it because I wanted to join acting,” he said.
