President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto have taken a break to visit their farm as heavy rains continue across the country.

The President and his wife were in Kilgoris, Narok to inspect the farm and plant trees.

In photos shared by Dennis Itumbi, the first couple can be spotted walking in the long grass while inspecting cattle and interacting with the workers.

“President William Samoei Ruto and First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto passed by the farms to plant a few trees and inspect the farm, just like any other farmers whose crops need close attention due to the increased rains,” Posted Itumbi.

Ruto and Rachel also have a wheat farm in Narok and were spotted checking the progress.

The President and the First Lady had spent the weekend at the farms before their return to the State House.

Ruto is well known for his farming initiatives and during campaigns, he would narrate raising chickens as a young man and selling them on the roadside.

Apart from the Kilgoris farm, Ruto has several other farms including the impressive Kisima farm.

Kisima farm is a 1000-acre property located in Mata ward, Taita Taveta county and linked to William Ruto.

The president purchased the land from former Taveta Member of Parliament Basil Criticos. According to several local publications, Ruto added the farm to his vast wealth acquisitions in 2017.

WoK previously covered Ruto spending time on his farm in Uasin Gishu to harrow his farm and plant maize.

One thing that came out about him is his hands-on skills in operating the powerful Case Maxxum iH 125 tractor.

The president seems to have upgraded as in 2017 he was captured operating a New Holland TT 75 tractor; a machine that has received praise and ridicule in equal measures.
