A Kenyan female barber has revealed that men come from as far as the United States of America to shave.

Grace Anne Rieko said her clients travel from the U.S., Juba South Sudan and Nigeria.

Grace who is popular on TikTok has a big male fanbase on the platform.

Speaking with Trudy Kitui, Grace said she had a roller coaster life.

She said her life was a struggle after losing her parents when she was young.

Grace said she got trained at a salon before learning how to shave at a college.

After learning how to shave she moved to Nairobi and stayed with her uncle but sadly got kicked out of the house.

Grace narrated that she met a man who impregnated her but luckily saved enough to start a new life.

Popularly known as Barber Queen, Grace says she had to be different to attract more clients.

She said her fame started when she recorded a video dancing while working and it went viral on TikTok.

It’s this fame that has made her get clients beyond Kenya’s borders.

“Mtu anatoka America anakuja vacation Ku shave hapa, someone even called and came from Nigeria just to be shaved,” she said.

Grace says her work has not been easy as jealous women have threatened her accusing her of trying to snatch their husbands.

WoK earlier published the story of Najim Nagy a Kenyan barber based in Leicester, the United Kingdom.

Najim who is originally from Makadara, Mombasa County, moved to the UK over two decades ago in search of greener pastures.

He currently runs a barber shop in Leicester, and he had shaved among others N’Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez who previously lived in the city.
