Gospel singer Ben Githae has confessed to having three children outside wedlock.

The singer shared that he engaged in extra-marital relationships and despite being a man of God bore children out of wedlock.

Githae made these revelations during an interview with Dr Ofweneke.

“In my house, I have two children and Patience- who are all girls. Out there,”

“These are things I do not like speaking about because the children are now big enough. I do not want to put them on the spot. I indeed messed up,”

“I can now advise these young men and women not to follow the path I did. All I can say is that they were God’s blessings and all my children are a blessing.” Githae shared.

The singer also revealed that he and his wife solved the issue as they were Christians.

“When something like that happens, people are obviously shaken a bit, but we are Christians, so we solved the issue and we are now okay. There is nothing special I did to make her forgive me it is just the Lord’s intervention,”

“The problem is failing to accept the mess you have created and living in denial,” he said.

Githae denied he was in a polygamous relationship and stated he only had one wife.

“I am not a polygamous man, only that I messed up. I have only one wife,” he added.

Ben Githae is a Kenyan musician whose songs are mainly in Kikuyu.

The musician has been in the industry for a long time and has made hit songs, won an award and faced his share of scandals. In 2013, he released the political hit song “Tano Tena” for the Jubilee Party.

The vocalist grew up in Gatundu and would often sing even when others were picking coffee.

Githae went to Muthurumbi Primary School where would spend his free writing lyrics for his classmates.
