Fiery Nairobi lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has expressed anger and shock after being ordered to pay millions in tax.

The lawyer said he purchased a small pick-up vehicle from abroad meant for his farm.

Ahmednasir says to his shock he received details of the taxes he owed the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) for the pick-up.

The lawyer shared a statement of the various taxes he needed to pay before picking up his vehicle.

Some of the taxes included import duty, excise duty, and registration fees.

The statement from KRA even has a Kenya Railway Development Levy (KRDL).

Ahmednasir said the heavy taxation makes survival for small-scale farmers like him hard.

“A week ago, I imported a small pick-up from abroad for my farm in ISINYA…to carry fertiliser, sand, etc…KRA maliciously slapped me with Kshs 16.779 million tax. How can small-scale farmers like me survive in such a hostile environment?” Ahmednasir said.

Abdullahi wealth

Ahmednasir Abdullahi is one of the most successful and wealthiest lawyers in Kenya.

In an interview on “Churchill Show The Story of Grand Mullah”.

Viewers were left in awe at Abdullahi’s imposing mansion that imbues elegance.

This, and his car collections estimated at over KSh100 million, left many wondering what they are not doing right to elevate themselves from ‘poverty’.

The senior counsel with few hobbies shared his interest in farming.

He also revealed he bought a parcel of land for that purpose.

Pressed to reveal the acreage of his land in Isinya, Ahmednasir said he owns 200 acres of land that he uses for farming.

An acre of land in Isinya currently goes for about KSh 4 million up to KSh 8 million depending on location.
