Former Machachari actor Babgee is now shedding old skin to reinvent himself after taking a break from the entertainment industry.
In an exclusive interview with WoK, Babgee now known as Stitch revealed that he is now focused on growing his brand after time off acting.
“I’m now a film director and a musician who loves participating in major issues, especially the opposition of the Finance Bill,” he said.
Stitch currently has a video consultancy business with diverse clients from companies, brands and individuals.
He is also a rapper with a big following on social media platforms.
“Many asked why I’m not into acting these days and I tell them that I’m now more mature and the character that I play should bring out that in me,” Stitch added.
Stitch played Babgee in the long-running Citizen TV series, his character was the love interest of Sofia one of the main characters in the show.
Meanwhile, Malik Lemmy, who played Govi in the popular Machachari show, is making serious money moves if his latest interview is anything to go by.
After a rough patch that nearly drove the actor to the dangerous path of depression, Malik is finding himself and his dedication is finally paying dividends.
The actor said he now makes KSh 5 million from his acting career.
“As you can see for yourself, I have a good life- in a year I can make up to KSh 5 million,” he said.
He began acting at the age of 5 when he was featured on Makutano Junction in 2005.
He went on to audition for Machachari where he was cast as Govi. This is the show that propelled him to fame and showcased his talent.
He quit the show in 2018 and life did not pan out as he had expected. The actor told Buzz Central that after the show many doors closed.
