Foolio: U.S Rapper Shot and Killed During Birthday Celebrations

U.S. rapper Julio Foolio has been shot dead during his birthday celebrations in Tampa, Florida his lawyers confirmed.

The rapper whose real name is Charles Jones was shot and killed on Sunday, June 23.

According to NBC, police were called to a hotel in Tampa a few hours before sunrise, having received reports of a shooting at the address.

“Upon arriving at the scene, they found two vehicles that had been shot at in the parking lot,”

“One person, now identified as Jones, was pronounced dead. Three additional victims are in stable condition and being treated at the hospital.” NBC reported.

Police said they are investigating the motive of the rapper’s killing and the identity of the shooters.

The rapper in April, during the release of his album ‘Resurrection’ claimed he had survived several attempts on his life.

He started his rap career in 2015 and has over 1 million listeners on Spotify.

Meanwhile, details have emerged about why Kenyan rapper Nyashinski pulled 20 of his hit songs from Spotify and Apple Music.

A spot check by this scribe a few days ago revealed that over 20 songs have so far been removed from Spotify and Apple Music, including “Malaika,” “Mungu Pekee,” “Aminia,” “Properly” (featuring Femi One), “Marathon Runner,” “Serious,” “Kabla Tudie,” “Finyo,” “Kebs,” “Hapo Tu” (featuring Chris Kaiga), “Lift,” and many others.

Further investigation showed that all the songs removed by Nyashinski were produced by music composer and performer Cedric Kadenyi, also known as Cedo.

In contrast, Cedo has not removed any of the songs that feature Nyashinski.
