Early Life
Bonny Mwaitege was born Boniface Patson Mwaitege on June 27, 1982 in Tanzania. He attended his primary and secondary education in Tanzania. During his early years, he loved dancing and music.
After his education he enrolled as a dancer for popular Tanazanian gospel singer Mwansasu.
Career
He discovered his singing talent during the years as a dancer under Mwansasu after which he released his first single titled ‘Matendo’ . The song was a hit, drawing the attention of the christian community in Tanzania.
He then transitioned into a solo music career, releasing songs which received acclaim not only in Tanzania but also across Eastern Africa and the rest of the World.
Mwaitege released his second album dubbed ‘Mama ni Mama’, which was well-received and became even more popular, further solidifying his position in the industry. In 2014, he released the single ‘Soma Mwanangu’ as a single for his forthcoming album, “Tunapendwa Na Mungu” which was also very popular, along with collaborations with notable gospel artists like Bahati Bukuku.
