MrBeast Makes History, Becomes First YouTuber to Reach 300 Million Subscribers

Jimmy Donaldson well known as MrBeast has made history by becoming the first YouTuber to reach 300 million subscribers.

A month ago, MrBeast surpassed Indian music label giant T-Series to become the most-subscribed channel on the platform.

T-Series earlier had overtaken Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie for the 200 million mark.

MrBeast took to X and shared a screenshot of his follower count while remembering the time he only had 300 subscribers 11 years ago.

“I remember freaking out when I hit 300 subscribers 11 years ago.. lol.” He said.

MrBeast channel is popular for fast-paced, high-production videos featuring elaborate challenges and lavish giveaways.

The YouTuber has several business ventures and is known for his philanthropy.

These include projects like planting 20 million trees and raising millions for various charitable causes.

He has been active on YouTube since 2012 but gained global popularity in 2018 after giving thousands of dollars to Twitch streamers and YouTubers.

The American YouTuber made headlines recently after he drilled 52 boreholes in parts of the country.

This was part of a philanthropic venture to provide clean water to schools and communities.

He is said to have flown to Kenya, documented the drilling of the boreholes, interacted with the communities, and flown back.

Considering that the cost of drilling a borehole can range between KSh 1.2 million and KSh 3 million depending on the depth.

MrBeast probably spent over  KSh 50 million in his philanthropic venture.

According to Forbes, his income from the platform in 2022 was estimated to be $52 million.

Which is approximately KSh 8.1 Billion, involving sponsorship deals and advertising revenue.

As of 2022, Forbes estimated his net worth at $ 500 million or KSh 75.6 Billion.

His high-end car collection includes a Tesla Model S, a Lamborghini Huracan, and a Bugatti Chiron.
