A Kenyan man has taken the initiative to enroll his security guard in university after discovering that they both achieved the same grade in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary School (KCSE).

Bruno Musumba gained widespread attention several months ago when he shared the story of how he learned that his estate’s security guard, Lepushirit, had attained the same KCSE score but had not been able to pursue higher education.

In a recent Facebook update, Bruno announced that he had begun assisting Lepushirit with university applications, and the guard has now received an admission letter to KAG EAST University, Kitengela Campus in Nairobi.

“Do you remember my friend Lepushirit from Samburu, our devoted night guard? He has finally been accepted into university! Lepushirit is preparing to embark on his undergraduate studies at KAG EAST University,” he stated.

As a pastor, Bruno mentioned that he has raised Ksh 45,000 but still requires an additional Ksh 11,000 to cover tuition and accommodation expenses.

“We are also in the process of applying for HELB, but we need your assistance to help him get started! Let us ensure he can concentrate on his studies without financial burdens. Attached are his admission letter and fee information,” he added.

Bruno is now reaching out to generous individuals to help transform the young man’s future.

In February 2024, the pastor from Rongai elaborated on the remarkable bond between Musumba and Lepushirit, which emerged during a casual discussion at his residence.

They discovered they had identical KCSE results, with Lepushirit also achieving commendable A grades in several subjects.

Moved by compassion, Musumba resolved to aid Lepushirit in his quest for higher education, despite the financial obstacles he faced.

Lepushirit, an orphan from Samburu County, expressed his aspiration to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Education at the university level but was hindered by financial limitations. , an orphan from Samburu County, expressed his aspiration to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Education at the university level but was hindered by financial limitations.

He acknowledged the support of his aunt, who had helped him complete high school by paying his school fees.
