Collins Jumaisi: Kware Murder Suspect Escapes From Police Cell

The main suspect in the Kware murders, Collins Jumaisi, has escaped from the Gigiri Police Station.

Jumaisi, according to a police report was among 13 suspects who escaped from the police station on the morning of Tuesday, August 20.

The 12 others who escaped custody are Eritrean illegal aliens.

On Tuesday, at around 5:00 a.m., the officer in charge, Police Constable Gerald Mutuku, made routine visits to the cells.

Mutuku was with the canteen manager to serve breakfast to the suspects.

When they opened the cell door, they were horrified to discover that 13 suspects had escaped by cutting the wire mesh at the basking bay.

Jumaisi was in the police cell, waiting to be arraigned in court for his plea hearing.

Collins Jumaisi was arrested in connection to the gruesome discoveries of bodies at the Kware dumpsite.

The dump site is in Mukuru kwa Njenga, in Embakasi South Constituency.

The suspect is alleged to have dumped the body of his first victim – his wife – in the quarry in 2022.

Jumaisi, who is 33 years old, was arrested at a club in Nairobi’s Kayole area.

He was found in possession of multiple SIM cards.

Jumaisi is alleged to have killed the victims and wrapped their bodies in polythene bags that were retrieved from this the site site.

The suspect was then later taken to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters in Kiambu awaiting further police action.
