Male employees at Equity Bank are required to adhere to a specific dress code that reflects a professional and polished appearance.

As outlined in the bank’s guidebook, men should choose attire that complements their body shape.

Individuals with a V-shaped physique are advised to opt for slim-fit shirts and suits, while those with an H-shaped body should select straight-cut shirts and European regular-fit suits.

For those with an O-body type, American or relaxed-fit shirts and suits are recommended.

The guidebook states that tall, thin men should dress in a style that helps build a masculine silhouette and complete it with ties with diagonal stripes and well-fitted garments such as single-breasted fit suits and waistcoats.

For short men, the bank requires them to wear pinstripes or thinly spaced chalk stripes in dark shades to elongate their bodies.

When it comes to heavy-set men, they should wear well-cut double-breasted suits in light material to camouflage the tummy area.

They should also wear dark colors in vertical pinstripes.

Athletic men on the other hand should wear Italian cut or custom-tailored styles with deeper necklines.

The guidebook stipulates that they are expected to wear either single-breasted, double-breasted or three-piece suits in black, dark blue, dark grey, dark brown or light grey.

Prints are also specific; they should either be heavy cotton, wool blend, gabardine, polyester/cotton twist, high-quality wool or herringbone wool.

Additionally, the pants should be flat-front trousers for V-shaped bodies, single-pleat trousers for all body shapes, and double-pleat trousers for H and O body shapes.

While male staff are expected to wear perfect-fit shirts and match them perfectly with their ties, they are expected to fit well at the waistline without a belt, and the length should fall just above the shoe’s sole.

The shoes, according to the guidebook, should be formal leather shoes in black, brown or tan and match them with their belts which should have plain metallic buckles.

Male staff are also required to wear dark-colored socks that are calf length.

“The only visible jewelry on a professional man should be a wristwatch and wedding band. An activity band in black or dark brown is also acceptable

“Everything else should be suit accessories such as cufflinks, lapel pins, and pocket squares. Keep eyewear small in solid, neutral frames,” the guidebook read.

The guidebook showed that the bank does not allow sneakers, sandals and crocs among other overly casual items that go against representing Equity Bank as a trusted brand.

Additionally, denim, large branding and tee shirts are not allowed in addition to overpowering deodorant, colognes and aftershaves.

Male staff are also not allowed to walk around with wallets bulging in the back pocket and chewing gum in public.
