The impeachment motion against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has shown that he has established 22 companies between 2001 and 2024.
The motion accused Gachagua and his sons of establishing these companies to launder money and conceal proceeds of corruption.
“For the past 2 years Gachagua has inexplicably ammased humongous property portfolio estimated at Ksh 5.2 billion primarily from suspected process of crime and money laundering.
“The value of the property and wealth that gives acquired over the last two years is incompatible with his known legitimate income,” the motion stated.
