Idiong’o Madaraka and Skhulile Msomi are a couple who gained attention for their love story that blossomed on TikTok.
Msomi traveled from South Africa to Kenya to be with Idiong’o after meeting on TikTok, highlighting their deep emotional connection and the importance of giving love a chance.
In an interview with LNN Network, Msomi noted that their interaction started on TikTok after she commented on his post.
“He followed me back, then I saw a message on my DM. After realizing it was him, I asked if he could teach me [about spiritually] to which he gave me instructions,” she said.
That interaction set the basis for their relationship as they continued talking before Idiong’o went silent but returned after a while.
“That was that for a couple of days until he went quiet for a while and later asked me what my heart desires were and from that conversation of him asking me about my heart desires, that was the moment things took a turn in terms of the we were talking,” she said.
Idiong’o mentioned that he was moved by Msomi’s desires, especially because she wanted to do something in honour of her father.
“When it came to her father, I stopped there, when she mentioned her father, I felt like she went through me, I have never met a lady who would love to do something in honour of her parents,” he said.
Notably, Idiong’o and Msomi started dating after months of connecting through video calls and sharing personal thoughts.
From their interactions, the relationship deepened, leading to a significant moment when Idiong’o proposed during a phone call, asking Msomi to be his wife.
She enthusiastically accepted, affirming her agreement multiple times.
“I love the way that he looks at me; he looks at me like I’m the only woman in this world. I love his honesty, mind, humility, kindness; I could go on and on. I love everything about him,” she said.
Idiong’o on the other hand expressed that he loves Msomi’s genuine approach to her thoughts, terming them as straightforward.
“I have gone through her thoughts; from the first time we started [having] conversations, the genuine approach to her thoughts… She is so genuine,” he stated.
