East African Portland Cement Company (EAPCC) appointment
President Ruto appointed Bruno as the Managing Director of East African Portland Cement Company (EAPCC) on December 20, 2024.
However, the EAPCC board declined to ratify Obodha’s appointment, leading to operational disruptions.
Employees protested the board’s decision by halting operations at the cement processor.
In response to the impasse, the Employment and Labor Relations Court in Nairobi ruled in favor of Obodha, allowing him to assume the position of Managing Director.
