Roxanne Perez, born Carla Gonzalez on November 5, 2001, is an American professional wrestler currently signed to WWE, where she performs on the NXT brand.
She began her wrestling journey at the age of 13 and trained at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling school, debuting in 2018 under the ring name Rok-C.
During her early career, she made a significant impact by becoming the first-ever ROH World Women’s Champion, making her the youngest champion in Ring of Honor’s history.
In March 2022, Perez signed with WWE and adopted the name Roxanne Perez. She made her NXT debut on April 19, 2022, defeating Jacy Jayne.
Parents
Roxanne was born in Laredo, Texas, is of Hispanic descent, with a Puerto Rican father and a Mexican mother.
Her father’s name is Rick Salinas, and her mother’s name is Christy Salinas.
Roxanne has three sisters and is the second oldest among them. Her parents are known to reside in Laredo, Texas.
Career
Perez has quickly become a standout in professional wrestling, particularly since her debut with WWE’s NXT brand in 2022.
Her journey began at a young age when she trained under the legendary Booker T at his Reality of Wrestling school.
She made her professional debut in 2018 under the ring name Rok-C and gained recognition on the independent circuit.
During this time, she achieved significant milestones, including winning the ROW Diamonds Division Championship and becoming the inaugural Ring of Honor (ROH) Women’s World Champion.
Perez officially signed with WWE in March 2022 and debuted on NXT Level Up shortly after. She quickly transitioned to the main NXT stage, where she defeated Jacy Jayne in her first televised match.
Her rise to prominence was swift as she won the first-ever NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament in June 2022, earning a championship opportunity of her choice. This victory set the stage for her continued success in WWE.
