The Company That is building the Ksh500 Billion Northlands City Owned By the Kenyattas

The Ksh500 billion Northlands City owned by the Kenyatta family under Integer Limited has dwarfed similar projects in terms of amneties once its completed.

Among other features that set it apart is an airport sitting on the 11,800 acres. Upon completion, the city will house 270,000 residents.

The company spearheading the project is TRIAD ARCHITECTS.

As covered on this blog, Triad Architects and Planners was founded in 1963 by Amyas Connel and Graham McCullogh.

Amyas started practicing in 1929 and in 1933 established the legendary Connell, Ward and Lucas.

He relocated to Kenya in 1946 where he designed the Kenya parliament among other landmark buildings.

“Northlands consists of residential neighbourhoods, recreation facilities, a stadium, urban commercial centres, industrial estates, urban farms, schools, civic buildings and hotels”, the TRIAD website reads.

TRIAD has partenered with GAPP Architects & Urban Planners and Kenmt Bill Engineers & Planners and Mangat I.B. Patel & Partners among other to actualize the project.

The project architect is Charles Ndungu while the project partner is James Gitoho.
