The rise of Btunai’s Gardens in Sirisia, Bungoma is a testament that quality service supersedes all manner of advertising. I mean, you do not need an A-list graphic designer to make a poster of a mouth-watering meal when you can create memories by preparing quality of meals.
Despite its diminutive size, and being a facility that is domiciled on approximately a third an acre, Btunai’s Gardens has raised and set the hospitality bar high enough. They are giving other big hoteliers a run for their money.
I first came to know this resort through a friend and being an introvert, I admired how it’s located in a village setting and gives that classy noiseless feeling. Because I visit places hoping to make memories, and I know there’s no better way than being in a group of friends and ordering good food and drinks, I decided to experiment on this.
I’ve lately accustomed myself to the fact that anything I explore will either be on the extreme ends: either extremely good or awfully bad.
We ordered a full chicken and a cocktail of drinks. The chicken was served wrapped in transparent polythene that made the meal on the plate appear dome-shaped. The chicken was sumptuous and surprisingly, they served virtually every chicken part. This included the gizzard and the legs.
And this is not false advertising, the quality of food was superb. It wasn’t too spicy and neither was it bland. It was a balance of ingredients including turmeric and ginger from the fertile volcanic soils of the nearby Mount Elgon.
Now, back to the extreme ends experiment, the service delivery was extremely good, a testament that this resort means business in accordance to their tag of ‘a confluence of quality and comfort.’
They also offer accommodation services. At only Ksh 1000 per night, you get the comfort of sleeping in a high density mattress with well ironed sheets that have a sweet fragrance.
