Aden Duale Grateful After Being Nominated as Defence CS:”My Deepest Gratitude”

Former Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has thanked President Ruto for nominating him for the same position.

Taking to his X account, Duale expressed gratitude for being among the 11 nominated Cabinet Secretaries.

“I extend my deepest gratitude to H.E President William Ruto for nominating me as Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Defence,”

“This nomination reflects the President’s and the Kenyan people’s profound trust and confidence in my ability to advance our nation’s agenda and more particularly the national security of our nation hence contribute to its greatness,” Duale said.

The former CS said he was ready to present himself to the National Assembly for vetting and is willing to face public scrutiny.

“Am ready and willing to present myself to the National Assembly’s relevant committee for vetting and public scrutiny,”

“Quran (2:152): “So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.” Thank you very much. ASANTE sana.” The politician said.

President William Ruto on Friday, July 19 at State House released the names of 11 persons he has nominated to the Cabinet.

The President was flanked by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi during the naming of the CSs.

Cabinet Secretaries nominees named by Ruto are:

Kithure Kindiki -Ministry of Interior

Dr Debra Mulongo Barasa – Health

Alice Wahome – Lands

Aden Duale – Defence

Davis Chirchir – Transport

Rebecca Miano – Attorney General

Environment – Soipan Tuya

Education – Julius Migosi

Eric Muriithi – Water

Dr Margaret Ndungu- ICT
