The Ministry of Defence has removed Aden Duale from its website.

WoK in a quick check on the ministry’s website found Duale’s name prominently missing.

In a section on the website dedicated to its leaders, the MOD website only listed the names of President William Ruto who is the commander in chief of the defence forces.

The site also listed General Charles Kahariri the chief of the defence forces and Patrick Mariru the ministry’s principal secretary.

Others are Lt General JM Omenda vice chief of defence forces, Lt General David Tarus commander of Kenya Army, Major General Fatuma Aden the Kenya Air Force commander and  Major General Paul Otieno the Kenya Navy commander.

Earlier in the week, Duale thanked President William Ruto for entrusting him with the role of Cabinet Secretary.

Duale in a statement on X, said it was an honour to serve as Defence CS and will always be indebted to him.

The former CS also shared a Quran verse as he ended his statement.

“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency President William Ruto for entrusting me with the role of Cabinet Secretary for Defence in the first Kenya Kwanza Administration. I am deeply honoured and will forever be indebted to him and the people of Kenya for this opportunity to serve our great nation,”

“As the Quran says, “But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners” (Quran 8:30).” Duale said.
