“The Ngeny family once owned the Westside Mall, but as time passed, they decided to hand over the hotel to me,” Aunish recalled during a previous Interview.
This transition marked the inception of his ambitious vision to expand beyond the legacy of the Midwest Club and delve into the realms of a restaurant and club, eventually leading to the birth of the illustrious Wessyde Lounge Kericho.

Avnish’s journey was fueled by passion, particularly his love for DJing.
“I was once a DJ, and I loved DJing so much. That passion for music and entertainment is what prompted me to create the best club in Kericho,” Aunish said.
Founded in 2015, the club initially had a capacity for 100 guests.
Yet, driven by word of its excellence and growing popularity, the club underwent significant renovations in 2018 and 2019, expanding its capacity to an impressive 350 guests.
However, Avnish’s mission was not solely driven by profit. It was equally motivated by the desire to offer the local community an exceptional entertainment experience.
This commitment was reflected in the club’s investments in cutting-edge facilities, including large screens for live events and sports matches.
Operating in Kericho, a relatively modest-sized town with conservative spending habits, comes with its own unique set of challenges.

“We are setting our sights on major cities such as Nairobi, Kisumu, and Kisii, with the aim of sharing the unique Wessyde experience with an even wider audience,” he expressed.
