Bijan Robinson, is a professional football running back for the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL.

He excelled at the University of Texas, winning the Doak Walker Award and becoming a unanimous All-American in 2022 before being drafted eighth overall in 2023.

In his rookie season, he recorded 976 rushing yards and four touchdowns, alongside 487 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Recently, he scored two touchdowns in a game against the Washington Commanders, showcasing his impact on the Falcons’ offense.

Parents

Robinson’s parents are LaMore Saul and Lamont Sauls.

His mother, LaMore, raised him with the help of his grandparents, Cleo and Terri Robinson, after deciding to return home to Tucson during her college years.

College career

Robinson played college football at the University of Texas from 2020 to 2022, where he quickly established himself as a standout running back.

Coming out of Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Arizona, he was a highly sought-after recruit and ranked among the top running backs in the nation.

In his freshman year in 2020, Robinson appeared in ten games, rushing for 703 yards and scoring four touchdowns.

He also contributed in the passing game with 96 receiving yards. This initial performance hinted at his immense potential.

In his sophomore year (2021), Robinson continued to rise, rushing for 1,127 yards and eleven touchdowns, while also recording 295 receiving yards.

His ability to break tackles and gain yards after contact became hallmarks of his playing style.

However, it was during his junior year (2022) that he truly broke out as one of college football’s elite players.

He led the NCAA with 1,580 rushing yards and scored 18 rushing touchdowns, earning him the prestigious Doak Walker Award as the nation’s best running back.

His unanimous All-American selection further solidified his status as a top prospect.

Senior career

Robinson was selected eighth overall by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2023 NFL Draft, making him one of the highest-drafted running backs in recent years.

The Falcons were eager to bolster their offense with a dynamic playmaker like him. In his rookie season, Robinson quickly established himself as a key player for the team.

He rushed for an impressive 1,196 yards and scored ten rushing touchdowns while also significantly contributing in the passing game with over 400 receiving yards and multiple receiving touchdowns.

Known for his exceptional balance, vision, and ability to make defenders miss, Robinson combines speed with power, allowing him to break tackles and gain substantial yardage.

Throughout his rookie season, he delivered several standout performances, including multiple games with over 100 rushing yards.
