Courses for C and D Students Available on KUCCPS and How to Apply

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) intake for September 2024 is now accepting applications through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).

KUCCPS urged students to apply for placement in Artisan, Craft and Diploma courses offered at several public TVET colleges in a statement released on August 1.

Furthermore, KCSE holders from 2000 to 2023 who have not yet applied for or secured a course are the target audience for this chance, according to KUCCPS.

“Do you wish to join a TVET institution this September? KUCCPS is now receiving applications for placement to Artisan, Craft and Diploma courses offered in public TVET institutions,” the statement read.

How to apply in the portal

KUCCPS urged to visit the portal so as to view available programs and their minimum requirements by logging in at students.kuccps.net.

Follow the prompts below while applying through the portal;

  1. Log in to the KUCCPS portal
  2. Click on the login tab and input your KCSE Index Number, KCSE year and password in the provided slots. Note that your password is your Birth Certificate Number or Your KCPE Index Number.
  3. Once logged in, click on All Programmes and select the Certificate/Level 5 section to view the available courses and their minimum requirements.

Applicants will only be able to apply for courses where they meet minimum requirements.

It is important to note that if a course is not listed on the portal, then it is likely not available for application or its slots were filled up during the previous applications.

  3. Engineering Technology & Related (Minimum Grade Required: D)
  4. Food Science & Related (Minimum Grade Required: D)
  5. Nutrition & Dietetics (Minimum Grade Required: D)
  6. Social Sciences (Minimum Grade Required: D)
  7. Applied Sciences (Minimum Grade Required: D)
  8. IT & Related (Minimum Grade Required: D)
  9. Hospitality, Hotel, Tourism & Related (Minimum Grade Required: D)
  10. Clothing, Fashion & Textile (Minimum Grade Required: D)
  11. Agricultural Sciences & Related (Minimum Grade Required: D)
  12. Natural Sciences & Related (Minimum Grade Required: D)
  13. Graphics, Media Studies, Media Production & Related (Minimum Grade Required: C-)
  14. Technical Courses (Minimum Grade Required: D)
  15. Tax & Custom Administration (Minimum Grade Required: C-)
