Dancing TV Presenter Shiksha Arora Exits KBC After Three Years

Renowned media personality Shiksha Arora has announced that she is leaving the Kenya Broadcasting Cooperation (KBC) after serving a news anchor for three years.

The news presenter who is known for her sleek dance moves announced her departure from the national broadcaster on her social media platforms, sharing with her fans that she would be hosting her last show on the 9pm bulletin on Friday, July 19.

In her farewell announcement, she lauded her colleagues for their team work and cooperation during her three-year stint, implying that it was a bitter sweet moment leaving where she considered home.

“My heart is overflowing with emotions as I type this. It’s hard to say goodbye to a workplace that I called home for 3 years & colleagues who have become like family,” Arora stated.

“Thank you to everyone who joined me on this incredible journey on Easy Friday on KBC for the past 3 years.”

Arora reminisced over her time at the KBC, proud of her accomplishments where she covered the 2022 general elections and interviewed some of the biggest names in the entertainment in Kenya.

In fact , she shared that in the three years she worked at the media house ,over one hundred celebrities graced her show, a testament of how big a hit it was on the entertainment landscape.

“What a time we had! We’ve laughed, danced, cried, and grown together on KBC television” Shiksha narrated.

“This isn’t just the end of a show; it’s just the beginning of a new chapter which I am very excited about. As I say goodbye to KBC, join me tonight at 9 PM, one last time on Easy Friday.”

The media personality joined KBC as a news anchor in 2021 after another brief stint at K24 where she also worked for three years since 2018.

Shiksha’s fun and easygoing nature has cemented her place as a fan favourite, and Kenyans have expressed sadness over her exit while wishing her well in her future endeavours.

“FOLLOWING your moves closely ,Great lady!” one social media user commented.

“Unaelekea Station Ipi Nikufuate kama your loyal  fan,” another expressed.

The anchor has not revealed her next moves, but has promised that her fans will be in the know soon.
