Dr. Toseef Din: Profile Of Award Winning CEO of M. P. Shah Hospital

Dr. Toseef Din is the current Chief Executive Officer of M. P. Shah hospital. A seasoned professional, she has over a decade of experience in management, with nine years being hospital management.

Under her stewardship, the hospital has realized phenomenal projects, including: a kidney transplant program, the launch of the bariatric surgery program, the diabetes care center, the launch of the new village medical center, and a new pediatric unit.

Education

She has a certificate in business administration and management from Association of Business Executives and an FCCA- accounting from ACCA. The experienced CEO is also a Certified Public
Accountant having done accounting and finance at Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Kenya.

Having completed her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, she proceeded to obtain a Masters degree in Financial Management from Herlot-Watt University.

The professional is also a graduate of Strathmore University where she pursued healthcare administration and management. She was awarded an honorary doctorate in humanities from the United Graduate College and Seminary
International.

Career
She joined Manohar Lall & Rai as an auditor in 2003. The following year, she joined PKF East Africa in the position of audit semi senior.

In 2005, she became a financial controller at Anova EA Limited before joining Agha Khan Education Service as a finance manager.

Dr. Toseef joined M.P. Shah Hospital in November 2011 as the head of Finance before rising to chief operations officer and later became Chief Executive Officer in 2019.

The board expressed satisfaction in their decision to appoint Dr. Din as the hospital’s CEO.

The appointment of Dr Toseef Din as the CEO is a significant step towards building a world class healthcare facility. She will be responsible for creating a patient-centred and digital health care system that delivers high-quality services to Kenyans.”

The board believes Toseef’s history with the hospital, commitment to learning and innovation and unique mix of skills and leadership qualities position her for success in leading our hospital forward,” said the hospital’s board chairman Dr Manoj Shah.

Recognition

On 26th March 2022, she won the top 40 under 40 Africa award in the health and wellness category.

The award ceremony was held in Ghana and sought to recognize influential and accomplished business leaders under the age of forty in a number of industries.

This award would not have been possible without an amazing team at the M.P. Shah Hospital who have been my backbone. I am grateful to each of you for your constant support and kind words that have been meaningful to my journey.”
