Felista Mugo made history as the first female Kenyan fighter title winner in both the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) warrior.

Despite losing her first two professional battles, her unrelenting attitude and representation of Kenya in the EFC have sparked enthusiasm and a strong sense of pride among Kenyans.

But how did Felista get into MMA and end up making a name for herself in MMA? Here is what WoK has managed to dig about the same.

Felista entered the world of professional MMA with a strong determination, becoming a pro fighter at a young age.

Although her debut battles ended in defeat, it is vital to note the enormous courage required to enter the ring and compete against talented opponents.

Felista has had two fights in her professional career, losing her first match to Sephora Kiala of the Democratic Republic of the Congo by unanimous decision after a five-minute fight.

She rose to prominence after an exciting fight with Nicole Van Wyk of South Africa.

Felista put up a good battle from the start, but was tragically overwhelmed with strikes to the face by Nicole van Wyk at the lost moment after she was trapped on the ground; she fell to TKO punches.

Regardless of the final outcome, shw demonstrated her abilities and resilience throughout the fight, displaying her technical prowess and perseverance, creating a lasting impact.

Felista, barely 23 years old, has a wonderful battling spirit and a desire for victory.

Her involvement with the Elite Training Center demonstrates her commitment to polishing her talents and getting better with each battle.

Despite the hardships she endured in the early stages of her career, Felista stays dedicated to her profession, determined to prove herself and win future matches.
