Member of Parliament for Keiyo South Gideon Kimaiyo has expressed displeasure after President William Ruto left Kipchumba Murkomen from the list of 11 nominated Cabinet Secretaries.

Kimaiyo said it was unfair for sacked CSs to be reinstated while leaving out the former roads and transport CS.

In a fiery post on his social media platforms, Kimaiyo it would have been much better if all sacked Cabinet Secretaries had not been nominated.

“Kama Kindiki, Duale, Alice Wahome & Soipan wamerudi, then KIPCHUMBA MURKOMEN lazima arudi. All of them relinquished their elective seats to join THE Cabinet. Either bring them all or leave them all. Wacha KIPCHUMBA akuje hapo kwa stima.” Kimaiyo said.

Former CSs who were nominated to retain their positions include Alice Wahome (Lands), Aden Duale (Defence) and Soipan Tuya (Environment).

The former Energy CS Davis Chirchir was nominated to the Roads and Transport docket to replace Kipchumba Murkomen.

Former Trade CS Rebecca Miano was nominated as the new Attorney General, replacing Justin Muturi.

President William Ruto on Friday, July 19 at State House released the names of 11 persons he has nominated to the Cabinet.

The President was flanked by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi during the naming of the CSs.
