KCSE Exams Results: Girls’ High Schools Expected to Produce the Most A (Plains)

Candidates who sat for the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams have been waiting anxiously for results. In the 2023 KCSE exams, out of the 1,216 candidates who scored a mean grade of A, 391 were girls.

In this article, WoK looks at the top Girls that are most likely to produce the highest number of A (plains).

Alliance Girls High School

This national school has consistently posted good results, and this year, little is expected to change. In 2023, the school achieved a mean grade of B+ with 54 candidates scoring an A (plain)

Kenya High School

Another top performing girls school. In the 2023 KCSE exams, Kenya High managed 36 A plains with 98.17% candidates transitioning to university. 

Mary Hill Girls High School

The girls only national school had a mean grade of B+ in the last KCSE exams. If history is anything to go by, Mary Hill will be among the girls schools with the most As. 

Moi Girls High School, Eldoret

All the candidates except one did not score a C+ or above, while 21 candidates scored straight As.

Pangani Girls High School

This national school has posted impressive results over the years. In 2013, 340 candidates out of 357 scored a C+ and above. 20 girls scored A plain. Based on past performance, Pangani is expected to post even better results.

Nakuru Girls High School

A total of 4 girls managed to score the coveted A plain. This school is expected to produce more As in the 2024 KCSE exam results.

Loreto Limuru Girls High School

The school had an average of B plain with 15 girls managing to score As. 

Bunyore Girls High School

A powerhouse in Western Kenya, the school recorded 8 As and this year more are expected. Bunyore had a mean grade of 9.12. Only 3 out of the 406 students missed a slot in the university. 

Butere Girls 

The school managed 13 As and an enviable mean score of 9.1703. 554 students earned direct university entry.
