In a move to embrace technology for agricultural transformation, Hover Mode Ltd has on Wednesday, August 28, launched the DJI Agras T50 drone in Naivasha.
This drone technology will be a game-changer, facilitating the shift from traditional farming methods to more advanced practices.
Farmers have long faced challenges such as difficulties in assessing field viability, lack of real-time data on crop health and field conditions, labour-intensive processes, and environmental and health risks from chemical drift and runoff.
The DJI Agras T50 drone is here to solve these problems and make farming
easier and more productive.
The DJI Agras T50 is made to be very accurate, so it won’t damage crops, and it can be used on different types of fields.
Unlike traditional methods, which could take up to two weeks to cover 24 hectares with manual labour or basic drone technology, the DJI Agras T50 can accomplish the same task in just one hour.
“We’re excited to bring this new technology to farmers,” said Jimmy Kivuvani, Managing Director of
Hover Mode Ltd.“This drone will help farmers get better harvests and lower their costs. Our team is
already out there, showing farmers how to use this technology and why it’s important for them.” He added.
As technology keeps advancing, it’s important that farming keeps up too.
Using the DJI Agras T50 is a step
towards lowering the cost of producing food and making farming more sustainable for the future.
A Chinese company DJI says that for the first time, it has used a drone to safely deliver equipment to climbers on Mt Everest.
The attempts were made in April, the company described the event as a historic milestone in aviation.
This highlights the impressive capabilities of DJI FlyCart 30.
DJI said that an unmodified drone carrying 15 kg can make a round trip in 12 minutes.
Drones also offer a faster and safer way to remove trash from the mountain.
