To access many of the services provided by the NTSA, individuals need to have an account with the eCitizen portal, which serves as the gateway to many government services.
Logging into your NTSA account via eCitizen is a simple process, but it can be confusing for those who are not familiar with the system.

How to register for NTSA TIMS account
Requirements
- A National ID or passport
- A valid email address.
- Your mobile phone number.
Alternatively, you can use your eCitizen account to register for a TIMS account.
To register for NTSA TIMS account follow the accounts below;
- Open your browser and open theNTSA TIMS website; https://tims.ntsa.go.ke/
- Click on register
- Enter ID serial number and hit verify
- Enter your occupation and then followed by your phone number and click verify
- Click OK on the alert that pops out at the top of your screen for subscription
- Click on the Send Authentication Code button to get a six digit number on your phone. Input that on the space given then click on the verify button
- Choose your security question and fill in the answer and then fill in the rest of your address information and once done click next
- You have successfully registered your account
How to log into your NTSA account via eCitizen
To log into your NTSA TIMS account via eCitizen, follow these steps below;
- Open your preferred browser and enter; https://tims.ntsa.go.ke/login_csp.jsp
- Choose your Login method
- Enter your username or ID number
- Enter your password
- Type your security code or get code
- Hit sign in
How to recover your NTSA TIMS password
To recover your NTSA TIMS password, follow these steps below;
- Move to the TIMS home page, below the login section and click on Forgot your password
- On the password recovery page, provide your Username or ID number
- Select the category from which you had your account from the drop-down menu
- Choose the authorization method you would prefer
- Press on Get verification code, which will be sent to your phone via NTSA TIMS SMS service
- Enter the code. Select the security question you had set up during registration and provide the correct answer
- Press on submit to move to the next step, where you will create a new password and confirm it
- Press Submit to complete your account recovery
