Hussein Mohamed Accuses Morara Kebaso of Lying: “President Never Called Him”

State House Spokesman Hussein Mohamed unleashed a fiery tirade against lawyer and activist Morara Kebaso on live TV.

Hussein was forced to call in on Citizen TV’s JK Live, which is hosted by Jeff Koinange after Kebaso claimed he received a call from President William Ruto.

Kebaso did not reveal what he discussed with Ruto but said the conversation lasted for five minutes.

The revelations seemed to have angered Hussein who termed Kebaso a liar.

“I am shocked at what Morara is saying. I wonder why he would lie on national TV that the President called him. For the record, such a call never happened, it’s a statement of his imagination,” Hussein said.

Hussein acknowledged Kebaso’s work in asking for accountability from the president and his government.

“What Morara and many Kenyans are doing is good; it is part of accountability, and the President welcomes it; that is what democracy is all about,” he said.

Kebaso insisted he spoke to the president and shared the number with Jeff Koinange, the lawyer said he was ready to prove it by calling Ruto to confirm it.

Hussein blasted Kebaso by pointing out many people have Ruto’s number.

“No such thing happened, let him substantiate it. Morara and any other Kenyan can hold the government accountable but do it truthfully. The President did not call him, I work for the President,”

“A lot of Kenyans have the President’s number by the way. Let Morara substantiate that the President called him. He is lying, he is running away from the question. Will you allow anybody in Kenya to just walk into your studios and say he was called by the President and you just believe it? How can he prove it?” Hussein hit out at Kebaso.

Kebaso said he was saddened that the government had a good man like Hussein Mohamed lying for them.

“I am so sad that they have an honest man lying for them. Out of respect, I said I would not disclose the contents of my conversation with the President. As long as we have a corrupt president, we cannot have a country that will end corruption.” Kebaso added.
