Kenyans have shared their messages of condolences and tributes as news media of personality Jahmby Koikai’s death sinks in.

The reggae entertainer has been remembered as a warrior who fought not just illness but for the rights of the common Kenyan.

Kenyans took to social media to comfort her family and give glowing tributes on her life.

Njambi had a good fight, a real story that we have seen unfold, but she always kept strong. Loved reggae music like nothing else. Finally, she bows out. May she rest in peace Juma G shared.

Jahmby Koikai one of Kenya’s most prominent media personalities died on Monday night, June 3.

Koikai popularly known as Fyah Mummah has for years been battling health problems.

The news of her death was announced by a close friend and nominated Senator Gloria Orwoba.

“My heart is broken. It is not fair. We lost Fyah Mummah Jahmby Koikai last night. Our warrior is gone,” Orwoba posted.

Reggae Queen

Jahmby was an advocate of reggae music and Rasta culture.

She is fondly referred to by her legion of fans as the Queen of reggae due to her passion for this genre of music.
