Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has complained about a lack of snacks during a Kenya Airways flight.

Nyamu was on a flight to Mombasa together with former Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.

The senator claimed that she was told service while airborne poses safety concerns.

She hilariously wondered if Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua faced the same problems during a similar flight earlier this week.

”So on KQ 606 to Mombasa this afternoon, we were told service airborne is no more due to safety concerns,”

“Nauliza Jana Riggy G pia alienda hivi hivi tu? After all those years now is when someone remembered that serving snacks iko na safety issue.” She asked.

The senator’s post attracted backlash from many netizens who said there were bigger problems in the country.

If your leaders think of snacks on planes you are doomed – Dominic Omondi posted.

Rich people problems. Haha What will happen if you don’t take snacks for the 45 mins on board? Si mlisema we should live within our means – Bella said.

I’m asking the same. She doesn’t look like she knows what hunger is – Lisa JK said.

A baby class kid can survive without a snack for more than 1hr and you are here raising unnecessary storm – Boaz Sitati shared.
