Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has praised President William Ruto for listening to Kenyans and sacking his Cabinet Secretaries.

Taking to her social media platforms, the Senator said Ruto had shown he has a good interest at heart for the country.

Nyamu also pleaded with the president to retain the former Interior CS Kindiki Kiture.

She urged Ruto to put him to good use as he still needs his energy.

“Of all the skills of leadership, listening is the most valuable. You spoke and the president is EXECUTING one action at a time,”

“Mr President, anything you do for the sake of Kenya and our common good and future, you know your number 1 suporter. That gentleman Kindiki Kithure though, I wish he COULD be put TO good use. We still need his energy and exemplary zeal.” Nyamu shared.

Ruto on Thursday, July 11 announced the dismissal of all his Cabinet Secretaries except the Deputy President and Prime Cabinet Secretary.

The President said upon reflection, listening keenly to what the people of Kenya have said and after a holistic appraisal of the performance of his Cabinet and its achievements and challenges, he had to make a decision.

“I have, powers given to me by Article 152(1) and 152(5)(b) of the Constitution and Section 12 of the Office of the Attorney-General Act, decided to dismiss with immediate effect all the Cabinet Secretaries and the Attorney-General from the Cabinet of the Republic of Kenya except the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs,” Ruto announced at State House.
