Damaris Muriithi, the owner of Dama Mobile Spares, has warmed hearts after gifting 15 Kenyan women equipment and seed capital for business.
One of the women who received the assistance could not contain her emotions and cried which touched many.
Damaris Muriithi said the woman’s life would not be the same again as the aid she has received will go a long way to uplift her.
“Why do you think she cried excessively after receiving his full set of requirements to start a business yesterday? this made many shed tears.
Do you think her life will be the same again?” Damaris said.
The businesswoman said the initiative to uplift 15 women from JCM Church was a collaboration with her foundation.
“It is always a win for me when my fellow woman wins, today my Office of the Matron JCM Int’l in conjunction with Dama Spares Foundation has managed to start a small business for 15 JCM women under welfare management lead by Mamake Boaz Gutu, sasa hawa kila mama ameenda home na 1 bale of raha chapati from Raha Premium,10lits cooking oil, a jiko and its stand, a frying pan, an umbrella and 5k each,”
“Since we cannot secure a job for everyone, we can help a few to start something; thank you, my Bishop Ben Jcm Church, for supporting this noble course as we spread the compassionate gospel.” She said.
In an interview with Citizen TV, Damaris noted that she had no plans of venturing into any kind of business as she wanted to be a teacher.
She stated that after completing high school, she was invited to Kirinyaga by her aunt who later organized a job for her.
Damaris noted that she would sell mobile phone scratch cards in a small centre, and she would earn Ksh 1,500.
