KUCCPS Invites Applications for 15 Available KMTC Courses in September Intake, How To Apply

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is inviting last-minute applications for 15 available programs at Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for applicants who have not yet secured a place in the September 2024 intake.

In a statement on its social media pages, the placement service urged interested applicants to act quickly, as the programs are filling up fast and may soon close to those who do not apply.

“FYI: Application for KMTC September 2024 Intake is on and 15 diploma and certificate courses are still available. The courses are filling up quickly, so don’t be left out!” the statement read.

Here are the listed available KMTC courses:
1. Certificate in Community Health Assistant
2. Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology
3. Certificate in Medical Emergency Technician
4. Certificate in Medical Engineering
5. Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics
6. Certificate in Orthopedic Trauma Medicine
7. Certificate in Public Health
8. Diploma in Community Health
9. Diploma in Health Counselling
10. Diploma in Health Promotion
11. Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology
12. Diploma in Medical Engineering
13. Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics
14. Diploma in Physiotherapy
15. Diploma in Public Health

The courses will be available in all the 88 KMTC institutions across the country.

KUCCPS announced that the application is open to qualified KCSE graduates from 2014 to 2023 who wish to enroll in KMTC programs.

“This includes those who applied previously but were not successful,” KUCCPS said.

Applicants will only be able to apply for courses where they meet minimum requirements.

To apply for the KMTC courses through KUCCPS , students should follow these steps:
1. Access  the student’s portal using the link  students.kuccps.net or through the KUCCPS website www.kuccps.ac.ke

2. Login  and input your KCSE Index Number, KCSE year and Password in the provided slots.

3. The password is your Birth Certificate Number or Your KCPE Index Number

4. Once logged in,  click ‘KMTC Programmes’ to view available courses and their minimum requirements.

5. You will only be able to apply for courses where you meet minimum requirements.

For ease of reference, it is advisable to download the PDF document containing the details of the available programmes to expedite the application process. Keep a record of the course codes.

6. Once you have decided on your preferred courses, you will be required to enter the Programme Codes in the portal. Click the ‘KMTC Application’ tab and then ‘Apply Now’.

7. Enter the Programme Codes in the provided form and arrange them in order of priority.

From your most preferred course (No. 1) , followed by the second( No.2) ,the third (No.3)  and then your least preferred course (No. 4).

8. After entering the codes, allow the system to fetch all the programme details . After generation of details, click  ‘Submit’.

You will be required to pay Kshs1,500 and the portal will display the payment instructions.

This comes after you click the submit button, after which a pop-up will be displayed with a “Click Here to Pay” link.

The link then generates an eCitizen Payment Reference Code and  redirects you to a page with eCitizen payment instructions.

Be mindful to retain the reference code as it comes in handy for revisions.

10. Choose a preferred payment method from the provided options and proceed to pay as provided.

For payment using M-Pesa click on the relevant button and the payment details will be displayed including Business Number (222222), a Payment Reference Code and the required amount.

11. Access M-Pesa Menu on your phone and make the payment following the provided instructions.

12. Once paid, go back to the application window and use the eCitizen Payment Reference Code to submit your application. DO  NOT use your Mpesa Transaction Code.

For students doing a revision of their applications, they need not pay again but should use the previous Payment Reference Code to apply.

13. After you have  successfully paid and submitted, the system will display a message indicating that the application was successful.

14.On the KUCCPS Dashboard, you will see that your application has been successful.
