The current Moi High School-Kabarak Principal is Mrs Elisheba Cheruiyot who took the leadership of the top performing institution from Prof. Henry Kiptiony Kiplagat in 2015. She is the first woman to serve in that capacity and has proved her worth if the performance of the school is anything to go by. She joined the institution in 1996 from Kapropita Girls as a teacher and her sterling performance saw her promoted as Head of Commerce. A year later, she became the chair of bursary and also served as a member of the Chaplaincy Committee.
In 2010, she was promoted Deputy principal in charge of girls affairs and her midas touch was felt almost immediately. She told the Standard of the improvement after her appointment:
“Most of the girls then were average and there was need to improve their grades. In a span of two years, we produced the best girl in the country Angela Nzisa…..”
Performance
The school has been recording good performance over the years. This has made Moi High School-Kabarak one of the most popular mixed secondary schools in the country. In the 2020-2021 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination, the school recorded a total of 15 As and 84 A-. 320 students scored C+ and above. In 2019, the institution posted a mean grade of 9.88 B+ (Plus).

History of the school
The institution was founded in 1979 by later President Daniel arap Moi. It’s a private mixed secondary school funded by tuition revenue, private donations and endowment income.
