The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced modifications to the licensing process for electricians in Kenya.
In a notice shared via its social media platform, EPRA instructed applicants to prepare scanned copies of their academic qualifications and national identification before submitting their applications.
Furthermore, EPRA clarified that individuals renewing their licenses after March 31 will incur a fee that is one and a half times the standard rate.
Applicants are reminded to have their scanned academic documents and national ID ready, and to ensure that the necessary licensing fees are paid.
“It is important to note that A1, A2, B, C1, and C2 licenses renewed after March 31st will be subject to a fee that’s 1.5 times the standard renewal rate,” said EPRA.
EPRA highlighted the fees for various licensing categories, including AI (Ksh 1,000), A2 (Ksh 1,000), B (Ksh 750, C1 (Ksh 500) and C2 (Ksh 250).
