Timba XO Club, which is affiliated with Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, has sent home more than 200 employees.

This is after the entertainment joint was closed down following last week’s event in which protestors invaded the facility and made away with property of unknown value.

Armed with stones and other weapons, the angry youth shattered glass walls, windows and doors of the imposing two-story complex.

They also made away with pricey stuff including screen TVs, gas grills, chairs and alcoholic beverages some selling for as high as Ksh 25,000.

Among those affected by the closing of the club are numbers of female workers brought by the MP from Uganda.

Speaking following the incident, the Kapseret MP announced the suspension of all his political engagements following the vandalism of his facility.

In a video which has since gone viral online, Sudi expressed his disappointment and condemned the attack claiming he had been personally targeted.

Sudi suggested that the destruction at Timba XO was a deliberate attempt by his competitors to target him personally and cripple his business.

He announced his desire to take a break from all political activities as he processed the events that had occurred.

“However, the magnitude of the loss of lives, looting, and property destruction that happened is appalling and it negates the spirit of our constitution

“In my entire life, I have never organized or ill-wished my political competitors, and it is shocking when they take advantage of innocent youth and take charge of the peaceful protest to wreak havoc,” Sudi noted.
