In a heartwarming display of generosity, Pastor Ezekiel Odero from the New Life Prayer Center recently shared a touching story about how he pays his barber.

During a church meeting with his devoted congregation, Pastor Ezekiel posed a question to one of his members, asking them to guess the amount he paid for his regular haircuts.

“Ask me how much I pay for a haircut,” Ezekiel asked his church member.

This seemingly mundane question led to a heartwarming revelation – Pastor Ezekiel pays his barber a total of 5,000 Kenyan shillings for a haircut right in the comfort of his own home.

The unexpected generosity displayed by the pastor left many congregants deeply moved.

The act of paying 5,000 shillings for a haircut may seem extravagant to some, but Pastor Ezekiel’s reasoning behind it is both practical and compassionate.

He believes in supporting local businesses and ensuring that those who provide services to him are compensated fairly.

In doing so, he sets an example for his congregation, reminding them of the importance of valuing and respecting the work of others.

Barkat Ali Manji, the barber in question, is well-known in Kenya for his exceptional skills and dedication to his craft.

He decided to offer home services, including haircuts, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when public health concerns limited people’s access to traditional barber shops.

This decision allowed him to continue serving his loyal clientele, including notable figures like Otile Brown, former Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo, and Nick Mutuma.
