Kenyan televangelist Pastor Victor Kanyari has been courting controversy after joining TikTok.
Kanyari has been appearing live on the platform and engaging with his fans.
The pastor’s content on TikTok has been described as steamy and ungodly by social media users.
Kanyari has also got advances from some female TikTok users, most recently Rish Kamunge who invited him to her place live on TikTok.
Kamunge told Kanyari she was willing to put a billboard of them together as a gift.
The TikToker continued her flirting by calling the pastor her man.
“You are my man. I actually asked some of these people what is the biggest gift I am going to give to my man, and they told me to put him on a billboard,”
“So I am planning a billboard for me and you pale Koja. Mtu akiingia Nairobi anakuona… it’s going to cost me more than KSh 600,000 for you to be there for more than a month,” Kamunge said.
The live session with Kamunge left Kanyari speechless and smiling.
Kanyari was married to gospel singer Betty Bayo.
The two got married in 2011 and were blessed with two children. When the lies behind Pastor Kanyari’s miracles were revealed she too was caught up in the scandal.
Kanyari had been accused of conning his followers by asking them to plant a seed of KSh310.
Later, an expose revealed the behind-the-scenes con games by the pastor.
When all the cards were laid on the table, it was obvious that people also questioned the wife.
Betty Bayo distanced herself from those rumors declaring she was not a part of her ex-husband’s schemes.
Kanyari later admitted that asking people for KSh 310 to get miracles was a way for him to get out of poverty.
“Mimi ndio nilikuwa mhubiri anaongea Nairobi, hakukua na mwingine. Kina Ezekiel na Ng’ang’a hawakuwa, mimi ndio nilikuwa naongea hii town,”
“Lakini sikuwa na pesa, ndio maana nikaanza kuitisha 310. Nikasema panda mbegu ya 310 na tusibishanebishane. Si kutaka kwangu, umaskini ulikuwa umenitandika sawasawa,” the pastor said.
