Churchill Show comedian Professor Hamo has come to the defence of embattled journalist Salim Swaleh.
Hamo said he was touched by Swaleh’s situation and urged Kenyans not to troll him.
The comedian said he understands very well the predicament facing Swaleh as he once lost everything and had to rebuild his life.
Hamo pleaded with Kenyans not to kick Swaleh as he is already down and suffering.
“Salim Swaleh story ni painful sana and you’ll see guys pointing fingers and saying all manner of things, as a man who’s succeeded and failed and had to pick up pieces and rebuilt one brick at a time I know what he is going through,”
“Guys don’t kick a man when he is down ako chini tayari it doesn’t help, in this business of life kwanza when you’re trying hard to make something of yourself utapatana na so much even people who you think want the best for you will throw you under a bus very fast and enjoy the loot. I pray no one here in the pursuit of greatness meets the dark days.” Hamo said.
Former NTV news anchor Salim Swaleh shared an emotional video pleading for forgiveness from Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
Swaleh who was in tears, said he broke Mudavadi’s trust over his involvement in a KSh 5.8 million fraud case.
The journalist worked as Director of Press Service at the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and was sacked over the scandal.
Swaleh expressed remorse and apologised for his actions.
The journalist said tried several times to reach out to Mudavadi but never managed to get him.
