PSC Announces 106 Job Vacancies With August 13 Deadline, How To Apply

The government through the Public Service Commission has announced 106 job vacancies in various departments.

The commission made the announcement in a notice on My Gov PSC, listing the positions and urging interested candidates to apply.

In the State Department of Lands and Physical Planning, there are two available positions as well as 22 positions under Forestry and two under the Ministry of Blue Economy and Fisheries.

Additionally, PSC advertised seven vacancies under mining, four in the transport department, eight under cooperatives and 30 at the State Department of Labour and Skills Development.

The commission added that there are 16 vacancies under gender and affirmative action department, 10 at the State Department of Youth Affairs and Creative Economy and five vacancies at the Department of Sports.

More positions advertised in the lands docket include secretary lands, director land valuation, secretary forest development, director of agroforestry, deputy director forest management and conservation, deputy director ecological restoration, assistant director ecological restoration, and assistant director forest management and conservation.

In the fisheries, mining and transport departments , the PSC announced vacancies for the position of Director of fisheries and blue economy, deputy government chemist of mining, assistant government chemist, inspector of drilling, director of shipping and maritime transport, deputy director of road and railway transport services, and principal research officer.

Other state departments with vacancies include cooperative, gender and labour with available positions for senior deputy commissioner for cooperative development, deputy commissioner for cooperative development, assistant commissioner for labour, director gender, principal gender officer and senior gender officer.

PSC also urged applicants to apply for the director of film services position as well as deputy director of film services, assistant director of film services, senior principal superintendent –electronics, deputy sports registrar and principal sports registrar.

How to apply
1. First time users of the Online Recruitment and Selection system are required to register by providing ID/ Passport Number, Surname, current Email address and a password to access the system.

2. To apply for the advertised job , log into the system using the ID/Passport Number and the Password created in the step above.

3. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The applicant should be truthful to avoid being fined.

5. The Online Recruitment and Selection system allows applicants to revise application at any time before the Advert Closure Date.

For the advertised jobs, PSC said the applications should reach the commission on or before August 13, 2024, latest 5pm.
