Motherhood

In 2023, the rap goddess took to Instagram to share that she was a mother. Rosa went on to share how she looked unrecognizable during the pregnancy saying her appearance during this period affected her self confidence.

One of her post read:

“For sure pregnancy and nose need to settle their differences😅 We go through a lot until we are called mothers! Let us learn to respect women, Leba is not a joke! WOMEN ARE THE STRONGEST BEINGS ON EARTH 🏽🏽 🏽🏽 🏽🏽”

Another post read,

“I didn’t look like me, then you came, and oh how my life changed. Leaking b00bs, stretchmarks, sleepless nights, breast pumps,” she shared about her journey.

Music Career

The lyrical genius journey in music started in 2015. Signed by Nahreel Label (The Industry Studios), she went on to release her debut single “One Time” in 2016. Speaking to a local daily, Rosa recounted how it was difficult breaking into a male dominated industry.

“Gender discrimination has been my biggest challenge in the music industry and specifically the genre I am doing. Many people assume that women should not pursue rap or have the ambition to thrive in any male-dominated sector. It’s as if you should either sing or go home and cook, maybe raise children,” the 28 year old told a local daily.

This did not stop her from releasing back to back hits. She has been nominated for the Best Female in Eastern Africa, Revelation of African Continent and Best Artist in African reggae, ragga or Dancehall in the Afrima Awards.

Brand Ambassador

She has been a brand ambassador for among other brands, Belaire and Castle Lite.

Beef With Khaligraph

Kenyan celebrated rapper, Papa Jones, started a beef with his Tanzanian counterparts after he challenged them to a rap battle.

“Tanzanians, your rappers have 24 hours to respond,” Khaligraph declared.

“Failure to which I will launch an attack and I will take over the whole Tanzanian music industry and become the best rapper in Tanzania, just like I am the best rapper in Nigeria and Kenya! “

Rosa Ree took the challenge and released a diss track titled ‘Mama Omollo’ armed with Khaligraph Jones. The video has garnered over 120k views and counting and trending at number 16.
