Sandra Mbuvi is the youngest daughter of former Nairobi Governor Gideon Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
For a longtime she was overshadowed by the temptuos relationships of her elder sister and the political dramas by her politician father.
However, she has recently left social media awash with images of her looking all grown up.
Here is her story as told by WoK.
Background & Family
She is the daughter of former governor Sonko and Primrose Mbuvi.
Sandra has two sisters Salma and Saumu. She has two adoptive brothers, Gift Osinya and Satrine Osinya.
She lives with her family on their Mua Hills home in Maanzoni, Machakos County.
According to the birthday message shared by her father earlier this year, Sandra was born on April 2, though the year remains unknown.
“To my loving daughter Sandra:
With each birthday that passes, you amaze me more and more. You have turned out to be such an intelligent, fun, and caring person who has so much going on for them in life. I’m excited to see what the future holds for you. Happy birthday my darling daughter, I love you always,” Sonko tweeted.
Education
The details of where she schooled remain unavailable but it is clear she graduated on July 9, 2021, as informed by her father.
Being from a well off family, it is fair to think that she attended a good institution.
“Aluta continua as life goes on. Congratulations my lovely daughter Sandra Mbuvi on your graduation earlier today. The future is bright,” Sonko tweeted.
Body Shaming
Days after she celebrated her birthday this year, Sandra was bullied online by netizens who criticised her appearance.
She confidently told off the bullies, stating that body shaming another individual to please oneself is wrong.
“Yes I have stretch marks, yes my thighs touch, yes my tummy jiggles, and yes I’m beautiful. Judging a person does not define who they are, it defines who you are.
“Be proud of who you are and not ashamed of how someone else sees you. No more body shaming! Big or small, short or small, none of us are beautiful if we tear others down to build ourselves. I’m tired of getting body shamed,” she wrote on Instagram.
Reality Show
The Star on April 28, 2021, reported that the Mbuvi sisters, Saumu, Salma and Sandra, were working on debuting an online series to give their fans an inside look at their lives.
This was after Saumu announced that she had broken up with Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip early this year.
Salma is happily married and keeps that part of her life private. On the other hand, Sandra has grown to be a social media darling and is not afraid of telling off haters and moving on with her life.
